Charity joined Lutgert Insurance in 2006 as a Producer and Director of Construction handling both our Surety and Construction Departments. She has over twenty-five years’ experience with surety, insurance and risk management. Over the last twenty years her focus has been mainly within the construction and real estate development industries. Her vast experience includes all facets of risk management including; safety/loss prevention, risk assessments/analysis, insurance & surety placement, specialty insurance programs and more. Previously Charity was the Senior Risk Manager for WCI Communities, a publicly traded real estate developer, where she was responsible for the risk management, loss prevention, claims and surety departments. Prior to WCI, Charity worked for Collier Enterprises as the Finance/Risk Manager responsible for treasury, finance and risk management. During her career she has negotiated and placed over $8 billion in builder’s risk/property coverage, over $1.9 billion in casualty programs and managed a large surety portfolio comprised of multiple surety companies with over $500 million in combined capacity. Her experience is extensive and includes managing small residential builders to large single family builders/developers, artisan contractors and a wide variety of commercial contractors. She also has significant risk & insurance management experience with high-rise condominiums, mixed-use developments, golf & country clubs, commercial properties and real estate property management.
