Scott joined Lutgert Insurance in October 2004 after having spent the last two years in Naples with Health Management Associates as their Director of Risk Management. Prior to that, Scott spent 15 years in New York, working as a risk manager for JP Morgan, US Trust, and Dun and Bradstreet. Before his risk management career, he worked as a personal lines pricing analyst at Royal Insurance Company, and as an actuarial trainee at the National Council of Compensation Insurance, which is the national ratemaking organization for workers compensation insurance in the US. Scott has served on the Quality Committee for the Risk and Insurance Management Society, and also helped develop the insurance portion of the Trust Officers certification exam given by the American Bankers Association. Scott currently holds the 220 insurance license and is also a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter. Scott graduated with a BA from SUNY Buffalo and received his master's degree from the University of Rochester.
